Alcohol-free beers made in the UK should contain more alcohol, says the Society of Independent Brewers. It has asked the government to increase the ABV limit for UK-brewed beers labelled as alcohol-free from 0.05% to 0.5%. This will match the guidelines for beers made in the EU and US. It will also benefit UK brewers looking to meet increasing demand for lower-alcohol options.
