Going for hospitality growth
This year will see economic changes set out by Chancellor Jeremy Hunt in his Autumn statement for growth come into effect. They include a freeze on alcohol duty till August 2024 and an extension for retail, leisure and hospitality SMEs to the 75% discount on business rates until March 2025. The small business multiplier on these rates will also be frozen. The Chancellor said this will save the average independent pub more than £12,800 on their bills.
