Rise of the Mobile Booking
Could your establishment be missing out?
Some 12% of pub and restaurant bookings are now made through smartphones and tablets – up from 5% a year ago – with that figure set to rise to 25% by the end of 2012, says Livebookings.
The company found that currently, 10% of all bookings are made online and expects this number to rise to between 30 and 50% in the next 10 years. At present, 67% of people expect to be able to book online with most bookings being made between 7am and 9am.
The company found that a massive 40% of all calls made to pubs and restaurants during peak service hours go unanswered.
