Ingredients
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeño pepper, finely diced
2 tsp garlic granules
¾ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp ground allspice
4 ripe bananas, mashed
180ml white wine vinegar
2 tsp sea salt
250ml water
Method

Heat oil in a medium saucepan on medium heat. Add the onion and Jalapeño and cook for 5 minutes or until softened, stirring occasionally. Add the garlic granules, turmeric
and allspice and cook for a further 30 seconds or until fragrant -
Stir in the bananas, vinegar, sugar and sea salt. Bring to a simmer on medium heat. Reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from
the heat and stand for 10 minutes - Spoon mixture into a blender or food processor and blend on high for 1 minute or until smooth. Slowly pour the water into the blender until the consistency is similar to traditional ketchup
